Tourist Attractions

Australia's South West has been named in Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2010 as it is declared one of the ten best regions to visit in the world.  It is also the only Australian region on the list!  The word is out – our stunning region is no longer a best kept secret for locals!

Albany
is an exquisite coastal city of 35,000 people, located 409 km's South East of Perth in Western Australia.  Its unique beauty, the diversity of scenery, the myriad of attractions and beautiful natural harbour were key factors in selecting this as the location of the 2011 Mirror Worlds.

The waters of King George Sound, Oyster and Princess Royal Harbours form the centrepiece of the City.

You will be provided with a real experience that will stay with you forever.  When the sailing is done there are wineries, gourmet restaurants, art communities and other tourist destinations that are flanked by rolling hills and backed by the rugged Porongurup National Park and Stirling Ranges.  The Bibbulmun Track offers bush walkers access to beautiful aspects of the South Coast.  Lazy coves and calm bays fringe the King George Sound, which is also home to the spectacular dive wreck, the former HMAS Perth.  The wreck is easily accessed by divers and can be viewed from above by snorkellers or from an underwater boat observatory.

Albany is one of the premier tourism destinations in Western Australia offers international visitors a range of exciting tourist options.  For further information on Albany and the region's tourism attractions please refer to:
